The key findings were that AI created three times as many jobs as it destroyed in 2018, and even though AI will reduce employment in some industries, employers across multiple industries are already offering more on-the-job training in anticipation of the future job market.

Our View: While current research suggests that the employment effects of AI in the near-term will not be significantly more disruptive than prior impacts of automation, leaders are still tasked with the responsibility to prepare their workforce for upcoming changes. As things move at a quicker pace with greater complexity and uncertainty, it becomes increasingly important for leaders to build trust and resilience.
